Law firm Anselmo Vaz, Afra & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, R.L - "AVA" was launched on the 1st January of 2008 and is led by its founding partners.

AVA privileges on providing sector focused legal services to businesses operating in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Intellectual Property and Life Sciences sectors - some of which are governed by a variety of different legal and regulatory frameworks. Besides its main practice areas, i.e. Pharmaceutical Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law and Information Technologies Law, AVA provides dispute resolution services, including arbitration, transversely to all of its practice areas.

Through an agreement with international law firm Bird & Bird and due to the international experience of its partners and consultants, AVA is able to service clients' needs on local law issues across much of the rest of Europe and in Asia.
